When Media Works was originally founded in 1989, it was considered a bit of a renegade. Many people questioned, “Who is going to go outside of a traditional advertising agency for their media expertise?” The answer came almost immediately – companies who were fed up with the old advertising mentality of “spend, spend, spend” and instead wanted a partner who would work to increase the power of their budget, not just increase the amount of money they spent.

Since those early days, Media Works has quietly and steadily grown to become one of the leading media communications firms in the Mid Atlantic region. One very telling measure of its success is the fact that many of the clients Media Works started with are still clients today.
